BUTTERNUT

is a sweet, goofy, adult crested gecko. Butternut is looking for a home that can provide him with a 40-gallon vertical (18x18x36 inch) enclosure or larger. He has an altered spine giving him what some call "floppy tail syndrome". When sleeping vertically, nose down, his tail flops away from the surface he sleeps on creating a V at the base of his tail. He has been cleared by a trusted exotics vet for scoliosis. He will need a home who can provide him with linear UVB as well as several basking ledges or opportunities for horizontal basking. He is a great eater, but still a little on the skinny side. Although Butternut is a good eater, he much prefers to be hand fed. He is currently getting different flavors of Pangea 3 times a week with Reptivite multivitamin containing D3 mixed in every 4th feeding. He enjoys having things to explore in his enclosure, so he will need lots of foliage and enrichment! He is nocturnal, so he is mostly awake at night. We expect him to grow a little bit larger.
